“What a privilege to be in Greece and pray for that nation and see lives being transformed! During my time, I got to be part of seeing a refugee being saved and baptized. One of my favorite parts was being able to teach brothers from Africa. The faith they have is hard to explain. Seeing the difficult things they’ve had to go through every day but they still have BIG smiles on their faces. It made me realize how small my faith is and how blessed I am to have what I have in my life. These guys taught me to be more grateful.”

” When I graduated college, I felt like the Lord was calling me to do something. To be honest, I really didn’t know what or where, I was just willing to go. Then a friend told me about HOPE HOUSE in Greece and the amazing things that were happening there. I never expected what would happen. I went wanting to work and maybe help to change lives, but what happened was my life was changed and because of my time there I feel the Lord calling me into full-time missions!”

Want to Volunteer and you have questions? We have answers
SHORT-TERM VOLUNTEER
We welcome individual volunteers from any place in the world who turn 18 years of age before they come to serve. With some exceptions, we would like for you to serve a minimum of 4 weeks up to 3 months. You are welcome to serve anytime during the year.
LONG-TERM VOLUNTEER
Volunteers serving more than 3 months are considered long-term volunteers. Generally, non-EU passport holders are only allowed a maximum of 3 months in Greece. For those wanting to serve long-term you will go through a next level interection with the team to evaluate a good fit.
3 persons or more coming to serve from either the same church/organization and whose service dates are aligned, are considered a group. Once a group is accepted, their team leader will be connected to one of our team as a point of contact.
Anytime during the year. As the summer tends to fill up quickly, we are always looking for volunteers to come in the winter months.
We like to have individual volunteers come to serve a minimum of 3 months. If you cannot, let us know and we will consider shorter times.
We have 2-3 ministry points. Hope House (refugee ministry) in Samos, Greece; Greek Outreach (Leros and Patmos islands) and possibly Turkey.
In your application process you will be asked about your experience, talents, and calling. Based on this information and your placement meeting, a missions plan will be developed with you.
A minimum of 18 years old by the time you arrive to Greece. The exception to this is if a parent or legal guardian is present with persons 17 and under during the FULL missions project.
Costs will be estimated based on your length of stay, location of ministry as well as other factors. We have volunteer housing on Samos, Greece (based on availability).
As there are certain risks associated with any mission project, Greece and Turkey are currently very stable countries.
Depending on your mission location, housing will be planned for you. In some cases, it may be at Hope House or on our sailing vessel HOPE!

Once you arrive in Greece, you will have a full day of orientation followed by a full day of observation and associated training.
Flights for both individuals and groups must be arranged well ahead of time and by you. Our team will advise, but you will need to book.
